I’ve always been fascinated by people’s stories - the choices they’ve made, the paths they’ve taken, and the experiences that shaped them. That’s what makes working with women entrepreneurs around the world so inspiring and exciting.
The online business space is constantly growing, and it feels like anything is possible. I never imagined I’d end up here, but I always dreamed of building a business I could run from anywhere in the world. With family in Canada, England, and New Zealand, flexibility has always been important. And here in Australia, being present for my young children matters the most.
Now I’ve found something I truly love - a business that gives me both freedom and fulfillment, no matter where I am.

I’m a mum to two young girls, and we call the Sunshine Coast of Australia home.
But I’m originally from Canada - I grew up on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and moved to Australia 18 years ago.
For years, we lived on a little property in the Noosa hinterland where I grew veggies, raised my girls, and cared for a lively crew of dogs, cats, chickens and ducks.
These days, life looks a little different. We traded the farm life for the beach, and we're loving the balance of coastal living while still carrying the joy (and a little bit of the chaos!) from that season with me. It just means a smaller veggie garden but more walks on the beach and we love the change!
Before Bright Site Studio (formerly known as choosing JOY), my path looked a little different. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Fine Arts, followed by a Bachelor of Education. I taught primary school in Canada and England, and earlier worked with non-profit organisations in Canada, Mexico, and Thailand.
From Vancouver Island to the beaches of Australia, my journey has taken me from classrooms and non-profits to building a business that blends creativity, strategy, and freedom.

After offering all things Kajabi, I realised my true passion was design.
So I shifted my focus to website design - blending creativity with strategy to give clients websites they love.
After years designing as Choosing Joy, it was time for a rebrand - Bright Site Studio became the new home, bringing together strategy and design for business owners.
Graduated from HCA and launched my Kajabi offers.
Not going to lie… the start was rocky - I made alot of mistakes. There was a huge learning curve - but I kept training and learning and trying.
I had an incredible year designing websites and supporting amazing clients, while also growing my team by welcoming my first in-house designer and Kajabi specialist.
Along the way, I began learning Showit to expand my creative skills and became certified as a VIP Day Expert - another step in making the client experience even more seamless and impactful.
I met Kajabi coach Meg Burrage and joined her Heart-Centered Apprentice program - an experience that gave me the tools, community, and confidence to grow my business in new ways.
Some of my VA clients were using Kajabi to offer courses - so I started learning that platform and loved it.
Started building websites in SquareSpace and WIX for clients while working as a VA

Started work as a VA and helping friends start up businesses. Offered social media, branding, graphic design and lots more - learning as I went.

Prior to
I had a craft business - I made and sold baby carriers, bibs, kids clothes, jewellery.
After a few wonderful years designing under Choosing Joy, I realised it was time for a brand that reflected not just me, but the bigger vision of the business I was building.
Bright Site Studio was created as a space where creativity and strategy come together. It’s more than a new name; it’s the next chapter in helping business owners feel confident, supported, and proud of their online presence.
